I'ts a 12 hour overnight ferry trip from Paros to Rhodes. Via Naxos, Astipalea, Kalymnos, Kos, Nisiros, Tilos and, finally, Rhodes. We could have had a cabin, but probably wouldnt have slept and they are very expensive so didnt bother. We had a late check out from the Paros apartment and we are getting met by a taxi in Rhodes so have minimalised the stress as much as possible. We packed a boat picnic and a couple of books and our trusty neck pillows (thanks again Mel).
All goes well till we get to Kalymnos, then we are delayed over an hour while the coastguards come on board. Dont know why, no information. We are very tired by the time we get to Rhodes. The trip was very boring, especially when it got dark. We couldn't even play `I spy with my little eye something beginning with `S``. Never mind....we have arrived! NO TAXI. No answer from the 24 hour reception at the apartments. The 3rd taxi driver we asked called his office who told him where the apartments were. Off we go. I am not in the best of moods by now. In fact I am turning green and about to rip my clothes (and someones head) off! We pull up at the reception, the doors are open thankfully. The `receptionist` was not too happy to woken from her slumbers on a couch in reception. I dont think we are going to be friends! Hey ho. No loss. Move onto.
