We have booked a holiday home about 9kl from Prague center. To be honest it will be a nice change from hotels. I wanted to mix up our accomodation options a bit. Booking.com is showing this property as a wooden chalet in a garden. It has its own private bathroom etc, which is one criteria we have insisted on so far. 

It is located about 9k from Prague city centre at, Cechova ctvrt, but thats fine, its 13 stops on the number 3 tram from Jindrisska , which is just down the road from the main station railway and also Wenceslas square. Handy. 15 minutes, and we are in the suburbs. There is a local shopping centre with restaurants and an Albert (supermarket). For our first night we went to a restaurant for dinner. We had a fabulous meal of paella (I know, its a Spainish dish, not Czech). We slept like babies. Its so quiet and the air feels fresh. Our host is not here, he is on holiday in Greece, but his Russian girlfriend is looking after us well. I am embarassed that every where we have been people speak English, and we don`t speak any other languages (barely speak the queens English ourselves!!!). Our new Russian friend has the biggest dog I have ever seen. Couldn`t get to grips with the breed but they are bred to protect sheep from wolves. Apparently he has some growing yet to do, he is only a year and five months old. Wow! Perfectly behaved and trained. Buddy could curl up in this dogs mouth.

Today we caught the number 3 tram back into the city. Mission was to get our seat reservations for the next leg to Warsaw, and get some Polish Zlotes. Our train will arrive in Warsaw at 9.30 at night and I dont want to be looking for an ATM then. Mission accomplished, we did some sight seeing. It is a fabulous city. The weather today is a bit overcast and drizzling at times, so we head back home via `Albert` to chill out on our own terrace. It is lovely to have outside space. The birds are singing and we feel very chilled out.

The internet signal is a bit grim so I still can`t load up photos. Will wait till we get to Warsaw where we are booked in to a proper hotel.

3 days is not enough anywhere, and certainly not in Prague. Everywhere you look there are the most fabulous buildings. Painted, gilded exteriors, minorettes, and fairy castle towers. Statues and carving galore. Wenceslas square is a great place to get yourself a seat, a coffee or a beer and people watch. People watching been a favourite hobby of ours since the Honda car show days. We would set up chairs behind the car, put on sun glasses and pretend to be asleep. Then take the mick out of people as they walked by. We spent the whole day walking, walking and walking. It was very busy. Good to get back to our sanctaury in the suburbs. Shopping is crazy cheap especially outside of the main city. Half litre can of Starophramen for less than 50p, bottle of wine for £2.50.
